We have a Siamese cat about 8 yrs old and two other stray cats. The Siamese has the bad habit of spraying on literally everything. I'm at my wits end trying to figure out what the problem is. He also gets on the counter top and sprays what ever he can. It's like he is punishing me for something. I think I've done everything possible to stop and just when I think I've found an answer I find another spot. My newest trick is putting foil down on the counter each night before I go to bed – not a pretty sight but it has helped some. The two stray cats are a big 18 pound tabby and the other is a long haired female and I also suspect her spraying on things too. They are all fixed. If there is a cheap herbal remedy I'm all for it. Any thing short of taking them to the animal shelter!Did you adopt all three cats at the same time or was the siamese brought into the house at a later date? If there is no physical reason for the spraying (i.e: urinary tract issues: have they all seen a vet to confirm this?) then there may be territory concerns at the core of this behaviour. Were all the cats adults when brought into the house? You mention that the other two cats are strays. Does this mean the siamese was adopted from a shelter or another home? How long have all three cats been in the home together? Do you have litter boxes enough to cover all three cats and on every floor of your house?
