Grasses for Parakeets

I'm writing to you today in hopes that you can help me enrich my parakeet's life. I wanted to know if their were any grasses that can be grown that are good for them to munch on. In pet stores they sell some seeds, but they don't last very long and come in small amounts. Do you know of any that would be easy for me to grow?

You might want to try to grow the grasses that are usually sold in pet stores as "cat grass". They usually contain a blend of wheat, barley and oat grass and are very simple to grow.
