Hairballs and Natural Catfood

I was referred to you for information on natural cat food as I inquired about hair ball remedies. I was advised by one person butter on a cats paws. Would that not be a bad addition to a cat's diet?

These authors cover the range of opinions regarding this topic. It has been my experience that once a cat is on a good, homemade diet they have little problem with hairballs.
