Is the Giant Hyssop a native? I have read conflicting statments. What is the scientific name of it? Do you carry it if it is a native?
There are several species of Agastache that are known as "giant hyssop". The best known one is what we call "anise hyssop", or Agastache foeniculum with strongly licorice-scented leaves and showy blue-purple flowerspikes appearing starting in July. It is a hardy perennial native to Ontario and Illinois across the continent to eastern Washington and British Columbia.
We carry anise-hyssop; please see: www.richters.com/Web_store/web_store.cgi?product=X1145
We also have a white-flowering form: www.richters.com/Web_store/web_store.cgi?product=X1145-900
