Have you ever heard of herb called "CENTELLA ASIATICA" or "INDIAN PENNYWORT" or "THANKUNI"? I want to grow in my garden. Does Richters Herbs sell this?
Yes, we call it "gotu kola" which is the name most often used in North America for this herb. The botanical name is "Hydrocotyle asiatica" but "Centella asiatica" is a synonym.
It is very easy to grow: it is a low growing tender perennial that spreads by runners. A single plant can be divided into many plants over the years should you wish. It cannot withstand freezing temperatures, so you need to bring plants indoors over winter; but as herbs go, it is one of the easier herbs to grow indoors because it thrives in partial sun or even shade.
Go to the online catalog section of our website at www.richters.com and look under "G" herbs.
