I have a question regarding an old tomato variety, "Richter's Wild Tomato". I'm a graduate student at North Carolina State University and am woking with this variety in breeding for resistance to a fungal pathogen. I was hoping you could share information on the breeding background of this variety, or give me information on someone I could contact who would have this information.
I can't tell you much about it. My father got it but I don't know where. We no longer carry the item so we have not kept a file on this item since before my father passed away in 1991.
I remember that my father once got some tomatoes that were claimed to be Siberian. Whether they were actually grown in Siberia, and whether they are the same as the ones you have, I can't say.
Sorry.
