I was asked if I knew where one could find an herb that in spanish is called "ruda". It is supposed to be good for earaches. I do not know if there is an english translation for that. The leaves are supposed to be dark green and when they are crushed they are quite smelly. Do you know the english name to this herb and do you carry the seeds?
"Ruda" is the herb "rue". The botanical name is Ruta graveolens. We carry both seeds and plants, but if you are in the United States, we cannot ship this one herb to you because of USDA import regulations. (Most other herbs ship without problems to the U.S.)
Rue is prohibited entry into the U.S. because it is in the same family as citrus which of course is a major economic crop and the government fears that diseases that could infect rue may attack citrus fruits also.
