Have you ever heard of a herb called Woodroot? We have not heard of a herb by that name, but there is a Jamaican tonic that is called "woodroot" which is a mixture of herbs. According to one source, the traditional remedy contains the following: "water, chaney root, goat corn, sarsaparilla root, black wiss, milk wiss, nerve wiss and African wiss." We do not know what "wiss", "Chaney root" or "goat corn" refer to; these appear to be local names specific to Jamaican culture.
