Trichocereus pachanoi – San Pedro Cactus

Three years ago I planted a pack of Trichocereus pachanoi, and now they are doing extremely well, and I have 40 from 2 packs. I was wondering, I'm sure they are Trichocereus (now Echinopsis) but they seem to have way to many spines to be the San Pedro. Do you know what they may be if not T. pachanoi? Honestly I'm not worried what they are but I'd like them labelled in the collection properly.

The seeds come from a reliable collector. We are confident that we have the right species. We notice that San Pedro starts out with a lot of spines as a young seedling, but as the plant gains size, the spines become less dense.

Also, have you begun shipping plant orders yet – I haven't seen them yet.

We have begun shipping to some selected areas, but because of the cold spring we experienced in our area this year (2001), we are behind schedule. Most orders this year will be shipped in May.
