Growing Herbs In Zone 5B

My growing zone is zone 5B in Northwest Ohio, USA. I was wondering which herbs grow best in this climate. My favorite is basil, and I had good luck growing it last year. What 5 herbs could I grow the best. Also could you include a few instructions on how to care for the herbs.

You are growing in a zone that is very congenial with most culinary herbs. I would suggest any of the 12 herbs we suggest for a culinary herb garden (lemon balm, chives, marjoram, parsley, savory, sweet basil, chervil, dill, Greek oregano, sage, sorrel and thyme).
Choose the sunniest spot for your herb garden and make sure the soil is well drained by incorporating sharp sand in a clay soil and some compost for fertility and moisture retention in either clay or sandy soil. Water when the soil gets dry and if your area is prone to droughts, mulch your garden.
