I purchased seeds and plants from Richters this spring and I am very happy with the results . I live on Saltspring Island in the Gulf islands, off Vancouver Island, BC, Canada. It rains a lot here and rarely ever freezes. I have a large number of year old goji plants but i am not sure how I should over-winter them. Plus the live plants I purchased from you are really large and healthy. How do I over-winter them and should they start producing next year and do they need any special care to produce?Goji or Chinese wolfberries are hardy out of doors in zones 5 to 9 and will therefore need no winter care in your area.
Also how are the leaves consumed for their best taste? The tender leafy tips of bushes are steamed in South Asian cuisine and consumed like other greens. Also the leaves can be brewed into a tea.
