Wasabi Culture Under Lights

I am considering growing wasabi in the basement. I can?t find anywhere how much room each plant needs for the 18 months to 2 years of it's growing time.

Treat it like a big carrot. It will need a deep pot. I suggest a tall 6 inch (15cm) diameter pot per plant and with the bottom of the pot put into a saucer of water.

Also, if I grow it in water does the wasabi still need to be misted?

Only if your basement is very dry.
