I'm growing a basil in a pot, but it looks weak and not very vibrant as it should. Could there be something missing in the potting mix? I give it some "Miracle Gro" plant food occasionally, but it doesn't seem to help. What is the blend of ingredients vital for the soil?I suspect that your basil is not getting enough light. It needs lots of sun and good heat to do well. A well-drained fairly rich potting soil should grow great basil, if the light and heat are there as well. Also check our web-site www.richters.com under "Q&A", type in "basil" and check up on symptoms of fusarium infection. Your plant might have the early stage of it- if it is getting enough light.
