I'm interested in ordering your Lemon Carpet Thyme plants to plant between pavers in a patio about 30x20. I'm in Woodstock NY (I think it's Zone 5?) and am wondering when is the best, earliest time to plant them? And, if you think they are ok for this zone? This thyme is only hardy to zone 6 and if you are truly in zone 5, then it won't over-winter, especially in an exposed situation such as a patio. Check on our web-site at www.richters.com under "News&Info" and there under "Richters Info Centre" you will find "Plant hardiness Zone Maps". However I think you are in zone 6 to 7 and may be OK. But to be sure why don't you order purple carpet lemon thyme? It is hardy to zone 2.
Also, how far apart should the plants be planted? I've seen your answers to other questions about this plant (thank you - all very helpful), but not particularly these questions.Plant them 6 inches (15 cm) apart in the cracks.
