Gibberellic Acid and Germinating Siberian Ginseng Seed

Has gibberellic acid been tried for Siberian ginseng germination?

As far as I know it has not been tried. It might be a good thing to try, since using the acid has reduced germination time in American Ginseng from 18 month to 8 to 10 months.
Dry seeds appear to have a double dormancy because it often takes two years and two freeze-thaw seasons to get germination. However, we do know that dormancy in siberian ginseng is related to either age or dry storage. The fresh seeds right off the bush seem to have only a single dormancy and will come up the following spring after fall sowing. Unfortunately, fresh seeds off the bush are not commercially available at this time.
