Lamb's Ear Rotting

My Lamb's Ear was doing great until I watered it. Now the leaves are turning yellow at the base of the plant and are matting up. Can I save it?

Loosen the soil a bit under the plant, add some sand to the surface soil and put some straw under the leaves as well. This should allow a bit of air under it and would discourage any fungal or bacterial infection, since they like moist conditions. Pouring a bottle of 3 to 5% hydrogen peroxide over the plant will do in a lot of harmful organisms too. Sprinkling powdered cinnamon over the plant might help as well.
But do remember that it is now October and most plants will die down for the winter at this time. Do not disturb the growing point of the plant and chances are very good that the plant will come back in spring.
