I bought a curry leaf plant – the kind used for cooking, with dark green, not silver leaves – and am wondering if you know how the plant should be "trimmed" or "harvested" for it's cooking leaves. I presume I would start with some large healthy leaves, but from the bottom or from the spreading outer branches? Also, do you know what sun conditions are best? I see sun and partial shade on your info page, but I don't know which kind of curry leaf those instructions are for. How often should I fertilize?
We offer a curry plant, a miniature curry plant and a curry LEAF plant for sale. The two former plants have somewhat fuzzy leaves and impart a fruity curry flavour to dishes they are used in. They like full sun. The latter imparts a smoky curry flavour. It likes half sun.
In all three plants it is best to use tip cuttings to encourage branching in the remaining plant.
