Mexican Oregano

I planted two plants which were labeled as "Mexican Oregano." These are absolutely gorgeous plants. Growing probably 2-1/2 to 3 ft (70 to 90 cm), with broad light green leaves approximately 2 inches( 5cm), oval/round shaped. The stems are about the size of a large pencil and succulent. I can find no reference in any of my herb publications about this plant. Is it as new species of oregano or was the plant merely mislabeled by the nursery?

Richters has been selling this plant for some time. Its botanical name is Lippia graveolens and it is grown quite commonly in Mexico. It cannot take more than the lightest frost and must therefore be wintered indoors further north. Our catalogue states that with pruning it can be shaped into a most attractive little tree and kept on a sunny window or solarium.
