I have been growing Alpine strawberries in a pot for a year now and can only seem to have one fruit ripe at a time. I have removed several plants from the pot to give the plant more room. I am getting plenty of blossoms and the fruit starts to grow and then stops growing and dies. How deep should the pot be and how much room does the plant need to have the fruit ripen? How wide apart should the plants be?A standard sized pot should work fine and if the pot is very large, even the azalea pot shape will do well. The plants should be about 15 centimeters (six inches) apart.
