Clitoria ternatea Seed Germination

I received my order from you recently and have planted all the seeds. All are doing extremely well... except the Clitoria ternatea . From the 11 seeds, I have currently 2 that have germinated. The seeds were initially soaked for 3-4 hr., placed in a seedling mix, lightly covered with mix and grit, then placed in a covered seedling tray. The tray was opened at intervals when the condensation got heavy. The tray had bottom heat set to 65 -70 degrees F. What did I do wrong?

According to Norman C. Deno, in his "First Supplement to the Second Edition of Seed Germination Theory and Practice", Clitoria ternalis, the seed will germinate close to 100% in 3 to 5 days at 70 degrees Fahrenheit if the seeds are punctured. If they are not punctured, you can get 75% germination in 5 to 12 days, by keeping the seed tray in the dark. Since the seeds are already planted, I would suggest that you put a doubled up black garbage bag over the tray and hope that some more seeds will come up. You should get enough seedlings for your household needs.
