Re: "Zafferno"... Thanks so much for the quick response to my question. My sister-in-law brought some seeds back from Italy and finding it difficult to grow here in B.C. Any special soil/temperature etc.?True saffron (Italian "zafferno") is not grown from seeds. As far as we know the plant does not produce seeds; it is propagated by corms – small bulb-like tubers – instead. Richters offers true saffron corms for fall planting.
