Edelweiss Culture

My order for 2 packets of edelweiss seeds have arrived in the mail and I am most anxious to grow them. However, as I attempt to do research, I am finding very little availability. Could you possibly direct me to any sources (of information) for this plant that you might be aware of?

There are hardly any rock garden books that don't describe how to grow edelweiss. It likes any well-drained garden soil, but must be kept moist and it must get full sun to stay compact and bloom. The seed germinates easily at room temperature in 4 to 8 weeks.
