I am in the Jacksonville, Florida area. I have had some luck in growing Mexican Sage. But the plants have very few blooms. They are very strong looking plants 4' by 4' in size. No signs of disease and pest. I do feed them with a little 8-8-8. Twice in the past 7 months. Any suggestion in how to make them bloom more?Mexican bush sage (Salvia leucantha) is a late summer flowering sage, starting from August until frost in northern zones. I am not sure if it perhaps much differently in southern zones, but I doubt it.
PS: You have a very good web site.I glad you find it useful!
