Could you also please let me know what is the best time for planting of the French Marigold? We are in a subtropical climate with temperatures of about 35/20 C in summer and 20/10 C in winter, summer rains and winter irrigation. Your advice on this would be greatly appreciated. The last seeds which I received from you were planted in January (mid summer) and have taken very well. You might also be interested to know that I intend to use these in banana plantations to control nematodes.
In your climate, as long as you irrigate you can plant these seeds anytime. Surface sow and press in, but do not bury the seed with any more than the merest sprinkle of soil.
