I received maikoa (#S3840) and I potted up the seeds according to package directions. I would like to grow this as a container plant, please advise me of the following:The first year the plant will grow about 15 to 30 centimeters. The plant is not winter hardy in zone 6, so you have to winter it indoors. Keep it in a cool place and reduce watering during the winter. It will drop its leaves, but resume growth in the spring when it gets warmer, brighter and wetter. The plant when in active growth should be kept constantly moist and fed an organic fertilizer regularely. To get bloom during the second or third year, use a fertilizer high in phosphate ie highest in the middle number of the three numbers given as the rating for the fertilizer.
1. What to expect this year as far as growth.
2. Wintering over Zone 6.
3. What to expect year 2 as far as growth.
