Last year I bought Hierochloe odorata (sweet grass) I planted it in a morning sun location and put a lot of peat in the mix so that it would hold water. The plant needs a well-drained moist but not soggy mix and should be placed in full sun.
What I want to know from you is the exact instructions for the very best conditions for planting- site, soil, moisture content, etc, for optimum growth of the plant.
Also advice on how to propagate sweet grass. When the plant has produced a nice clump with several growing points it can be dug up in the spring, divided and the pieces replanted.
