Could you send me info on growing chamomile in the south east USA, I live in south Alabama, we have red soil, mine specifically is high in acid from all the trees and sandy (we are near a bay and a river). It is also quite shady here. What should I do to encourage it to grow?Southern Alabama is in zone 8 and you can therefore grow both the English or Roman chamomile (hardy in zones 4 to 8), as well as the annual German chamomile. Both species like a well-drained, light soil. Keep them moist but not soggy wet for best growth.
