Seabuckthorn

Could you send me some info on the growing of seabuckthorn? When could we expect a crop conditions etc.?

Seabuckthorn is a thorny bush from Asia. It is very hardy, to at least zone 4 or even 3, and will grow in a wide variety of soils. Poor soils seem to be no deterrence because in China and Tibet it is widely used to stabilize eroded mountain sides.
It grows from seeds, but they require cold stratification for one season for germination. Planting seeds in flats which are left outdoors over winter under mulch will work. In spring the seedlings will appear. They are then transplanted in pots and later when 15-30 cm high, planted in the garden.
