Are eucalyptus plants hard to grow? I just got one and it looked a little down when I recieved it, but I planted it as directed, and it didn't take. I got 10 other plants, and they all took. Also is there any guarantee with the plants ordered?
Eucalyptus is generally quite easy to grow. The one problem we have noticed is that they do not like their roots to be disturbed too much. In fact, we try to grow them in such a way that the roots do not come out of the bottom of the pot to minimize the risk of transplant shock. Unfortunately, it is not possible to eliminate the risk completely, and some eucalyptus plants just don't survive the shock of shipping and transplanting.
It is our promise that plants shipped will arrive in good condition. In cases such as these, we normally replace or apply a credit for the plant. Usually, when only one or two plants are involved, we prefer to apply the credit because the cost of shipping is so high. Your credit can be applied to a future order, or you can request a refund.
