I have just recently taken an interest in planting an herb garden. I live in Pennsylvania and was wandering what would be the best herbs to grow in my area. And any information on planting would also be helpful.Pennsylvania contains zones five to seven and can therefore grow a large selection of herbs out of doors. Pick the sunniest spot in your garden for your herb garden, because most herbs require a lot of light to develop the best flavour. Most herbs also require good drainage. Therefore if you have clay soil you should mix it with a generous amount of sharp builder's sand and in a dismally drained area you might wish to consider constructing a raised bed.
