Ashwagandha

What are the growing requirements for ashwaghanda? I happened to come across a pack of seeds for this (maybe 8 years old). There were no growing instructions on the package, but nearly all of the seeds germinated and are growing pretty well. I saw it listed in your catalog as an annual, but anything else you might be able to add to that would be greatly appreciated.

The plants like sun to half shade and grow in dry, stony soil. In our greenhouses the plants seem to like the richer soil and wetter environment just as well as their native semi-desert conditions.
