Feeding Roses in Spring

When should I start feeding my roses in the spring?

Roses will give greatly improved results if mulched with a layer of well-rotted manure and if they get a top dressing of rose fertilizer in early spring. Another application of rose fertilizer after the first flush of flowering will allow the plant to recover from the energy expenditure of flowering.
