Digestion, Anal Fissure

I was hoping you could maybe tell me which herbs would be best to aid in digestion. I had a baby 5 months ago by c-section, and I still have a rather large stomach area. It is protruding above my navel area making me look as if I am still pregnant. Also, about a month after my delivery I developed an anal fissure that is very painful. I believe this was due to my digestion problems. I am trying to avoid surgery if at all possible. I would greatly appreciate any advice you could give on resolving my problems.
Abdominal distention can be due to several issues - bladder distention, liver issues, digestive system irritably and inflammation, etc. as well as relaxed abdominal muscles and post pregnancy weight. The anal fissure, developing a month after the labour, suggests that it is likely to be caused from digestive system irritation.
