Can you tell me if I can take horsetail herb silicea with my medication for an under active thyroid? I also have B12 injections for anemia every 12 weeks. I have a problem with my bladder frequency and irritation. I am 57 years old, and it is very difficult to know which herbs are safe and which vitamins I can take safely. I am also experiencing dry skin and vaginal dryness from menopause. Could you please help me with this question? I have heard that silicea or horsetail can help with the bladder and other problems such as calcium loss poor dry skin and other symptoms. I am taking horsetail at the moment and primrose oil and borage oil capsules is this safe for me to take with thyroxine. Please advise on this matter. You need to look to your digestive system as I doubt you are absorbing very well. Your symptoms of calcium loss, dry skin, vaginal dryness, thyroid issues, and low iron are all suggesting that you are having absorption issues. I suspect that your digestive system was shut off a long time ago due to a very stressful time or long periods of stress in your life. The bladder irritation and frequency is suggesting that you are experiencing a referral from your digestive system rather the than the problem actually being in your bladder.
