I have been reading a lot about black strap molasses and decided to try it since I am beginning menopause and suspect I may be anemic. I have also have had a lot of joint pain and swelling lately, to the point of feeling like I was 90 years old.. well, within a week of taking a tablespoon of organic unsulphured black strap molasses on an empty stomach every morning, my joint pain is nearly gone and this persistent period I've been having is subsiding a bit. My question is: Is joint pain related to anemia? What else is the molasses good for?
Well done! Molasses is a fabulous food. It is a natural liver stimulant, bowel stimulant, is high in calcium, magnesium as well as other trace minerals including iron and as a result is great for helping to improve elimination and detoxification as well as helping to remineralize the body. Many types of joint pain is actually the result of poor elimination and toxins that are in the joints area that are quite irritating to these sensitive areas.
