I have terminal lung cancer and a friend of mine told me that I should start taking astraqalus which is suppose to help the lungs. I have >had one lung removed 3 years ago and now have cancer in the other lung.Astragalus has a long history of use in helping the immune system with various cancers. It can be used in conjunction with other cancer treatments and has helped to reduce the adverse effects of many of the medications. It can be drank in the form of a decoction by simmer a tablespoon of the root in a cup of water for 20 minutes and drank three times per day, or it can be added to soups.
