Learning about Herbal Medicine from a Distance

I am interested to take a course at distance learning about medicinal herbs, but I cannot find something that is serious and well documented. I have an strong background in biochemistry , health and biology and I would like some course that from the "scientific point of view is sound". Can you recommend or guide in the right direction?

I would recommend that you contact a herbal practitioner association for up to date herbal programs that are recognized as a good or qualifying program.
