Weak Ovulation

Just a quick question: I been told by my doctor that I have weak ovalation! I'm trying for a baby and as you already know what the doctors give, have been put on Tamoxifen 10mg 3 times a day. Last month it was 10 mg twice a day but I didn't respond to it, so it's increased. I'm worried about long term side effects.
I really dont want to be on this for long time, and have heard about chasteberry, and was wondering if I can take chasteberry and maca powder together?
I have heard all the wonderful stuff about these two things and how many women have conceived. At the moment I'm abroad and cannot go see any herbalist so thought I'd ask you this question.

I think the first question you need to answer for yourself is why is your ovulation weak? Is it due to a history of high stress or poor diet and digestion thus low ovary function and/or low reproductive hormones? Until the underlying cause is addressed there is only so much your body can be pushed into doing.

Herbs such as Siberian ginseng, spikenard, ginseng, licorice or schizandra are great adrenal tonics that will help the body restore the depletion in the reproductive hormone production due to a history of excess stress. Nervines such as lavender, chamomile, valerian, catnip, and scullcap as also helpful here. Ovarian tonics such a birthroot or peony can also be used. Chasteberry and maca can be helpful for some women if the adrenals are not too depleted.
