My friend had ovarian cancer. Ovary & uterus were removed. Now after reoccurence radiation was given to treat a mass behind vagina and tumour mass are spread on intestine, pancreas and liver as per last CT Scan. Now she is on chemo. What powerful herbal treatment do you suggest after chemo?Herbs are excellent for supporting the body. The important processes that your friend needs to focus on is her digestive and elimination systems as well as her immune system. Herbs that do this are lymphatic cleansing herbs such as pokeroot, red clover, echinacea, cleaver, burdock, and wild indigo. Immune modulator herbs are also important and have been researched yielding very positive results. A few examples of these are reishi, artist's conk, and hemlock tree mushrooms (these three are Ganderma mushrooms) as well as chaga, shiitake, maitake and turkey tail mushrooms. Bitter herbs such as dandelion, gentian, barberry and yelowdock are important for stimulating good digestion and elimination through the bowels. Digestive lining healing herbs such as powdered slippery elm bark, marshmallow root, plantain leaf and licorice root can be drank to help heal the gut lining. Probiotics are also important for building up good protective bacteria in the gut.
