I am just curious about my herbal regime that I take daily. I want to know if it's okay to use these herbs and if I can take them continously. I've gotten very big into the use of herbs over the last couple of years and plan on incorporating it into a practise when I finish my masters. It is always advisable to take time off from herbs. In herbal therapy, specific herbs are recommended for 2 to 4 weeks, and then adjustments made to the herbal formula according to progress in the condition. The same herb is seldom prescribed for a long period of time.
Still, i'd like to get some feedback.
I take one standard pill per day of the following herbs; grape seed extract, hawthorn extract, garlic, green tea, aveno sativa (oats), reishi mushroom, and milk thistle.
I also take source naturals life force multiple, 3000 mg of fish oil, and occasionally take L-theanine for anxiety. I have recently been taking Acetyl L Carnatine to balance off my acetylcholine as I am getting off 37.5mg effexor xr, which i took for seven years for anxiety. apparently antidepressant withdrawal is caused by an imbalance of acetylcholine and the supplement is supposed to help.
I take the pills through out the day (in four doses) and always eat when I take them.
Any feedback you can give me would be great. I don't mind eliminating some if they are not needed or potentially harmful, i just know the benefits of each and enjoy doing that little extra bit to add to my vitality. also, should I take time off from certain ones?
