Papaya Leaf for Dengue Fever?

Is it true that the papaya extract from the papaya leaves is a natural cure for dengue fever? According to what I read, it can boost the production of the platelets.

I don't know whether or not the story about papaya leaf juice curing Dengue fever is true. I certainly wouldn't count on it, because the websites that list this story all quote the same, one and only one, email as reference.
