Effect of Mercury and Radiation on the Pancreas?

I am diabetic, type 2. I am currently researching my options, and I have a question that no one seemingly never asked. Could X-rays or dental fillings cause degeneration of the pancreatic cells?

I'm sorry, I don't know the effect of radiation and mercury on the pancreas.
