Can ginger root kill a person? I have a reaction, a very itchy rash and have changed nothing except adding ginger to my freshly juiced vegetables in the morning.
Ginger generally has no negative side effects unless taken in large doses on an empty stomach, when it can cause intestinal irritation. In juicing, you should use no more than half an inch of fresh ginger root with a mxture of fruit and vegetables that yields a cup of juice. Avoid negative intestinal effects by using ginger in juicing only after meals. Intestinal irritation can cause improper digestion and absorption of food, which could be the cause of your rash.
