I have high cholesterol not to high but higher than normal, I would like to take some herbs tea instead of medicine to lower my cholesterol, can you help me please?,
Some of the best herbs for lowering high cholesterol are garlic, fenugreek seeds and turmeric. These herbs are excellent in cooking, but do not make good-tasting teas. Ginger is a cholesterol lowering herb that can be made into a tea by simmering 1/2 inch of chopped fresh ginger root in 2 cups of water for 15 minutes. You can also use powdered ginger: 1/4 teaspoon steeped in boiling water for 15 minutes.
Sage, rosemary and thyme prevent toxic changes in low density lipoprotein (LDL, the "bad" cholesterol). These herbs make a tasty tea. The toxic changes to LDL are believed to be the highest risk factor for causing damage to the heart and blood vessels.
