My son-in-law has ringworm in the scalp. The one doctor missed it in his report and the dermatologist picked up on it and put him on a medication that he has to be on for 3 months. I would appreciate any insight you may have.

Three months is the usual time period for ridding the body of the ringworm (tinea) fungus. Both internal and external medication should be used.
