I have a 6 year old son who is going to 1st. grade this year. When he was 3 years old I took him to a neurologist in my country, Guatemala. He told me that he was ADHD. I started giving him something called PACIFLORA. It is composed of passion flower, valerian and other plants. Together, these herbs worked. They don't sell it here. Can you recommend a blend for me to give him to calm him down?Passion flower (Passiflora incarnata) and valerian (Valeriana officinalis) are good herbs to use for ADHD. Both calm the central nervous system. Other calming herbs used for children include lemon balm, skullcap and St. John's worts. These herbs, in tincture form, can be mixed in equal portions, and a child age 6 to 12 given half a teaspoon of the mixture twice daily.
