What is bilberry good for? What do you recommend for brochial and artery problems. I recently went to the doctor's for brochial problems and he took an exray of the chest...and found that the left ventrical was slightly enlarged. How can this enlargement be treated? He have me antibiotics and a nebulizer to use for several days. I feel better, but at times I still feel a little run down.
We have answered questions about bilberries previously. Please see our website at www.richters.com. Choose "Q&A" from the main menu, then enter "bilberry" for the search. Please see the item "Bilberry: Is the Leaf or Fruit Most Medicinal?".
I recommend that as well as continuing to see your doctor, you consult with a qualified natural practitioner, such as a medical or clinical herbalist or a naturopath, for a complete assessment. There are many possible causes of left ventricular enlargement, and the root cause must be found to be properly treated. Left ventricular disorders can cause lung congestion. A natural practitioner will recommend natural supplements to support and strengthen your body. Some of the herbs that may be recommended by a natural practitioner are hawthorn to support the heart, motherwort to support the heart and nerves and dandelion root as a diuretic to help reduce congestion while providing potassium. Magnesium supplementation is often required in heart weaknesses.
