I am a 55 yr. old very healthy female. My question is that I have horrible gastric problems, foul smelling gas and bloating. I have had every test imaginable and there is nothing medically wrong with me. Can it be the oil of oregano? I am at the end of my rope. A also take calcium supplements and I have tried them all, they seem to cause some gas distress. I hope you can shed light on my problem. I chew fennel seeds constantly to eliminate the gas, but doesn't really help a lot. What do you think? I have always eaten a high fiber diet, so my body should be accustomed to that by now.Definitely, the oil of oregano can be the cause of your digestive distress. It is a very strong oil that irritates mucous membranes. Please see our website at www.richters.com for more information. Choose Q&A from the main menu, then enter the word "oregano" for the search.
