I have a lot of acid in my system. I cannot drink orange juice. Could you suggest something to assist in getting rid of acid?An excess of acidic foods can cause an unhealthy acidic bloodstream, and can bring on heartburn and acid reflux. Acidic foods include coffee, meats, fish, dairy, grains, nuts, chocolate and sugar. Make sure that your diet is balanced with alkaline foods: vegetables and fruits except prunes, cranberries and plums. Keep your diet high in raw fruit and vegetables. Oranges contain a large protein that is difficult to digest. Since orange juice is causing you a problem, it is best for you to avoid oranges and juices. All juices are very high in sugar.
