I am a male 50 years old. I have had several bouts with cellulitis, especially in my right leg. I am about 60 lbs overweight. Each time I get this the doctors put me on a heavy dose of an antibiotic called Keflex, about 2k mg. per day for a period. I also have varicose veins which they say can bring on this condition from poor circulation. My question is two-fold: A) Is there any herb I can take to help with varicose veins (I already take garlic on a fairly regular basis)? B) Is there any herb that can ward off bacterial infections which is what cellulitis is?The best way to avoid the bacterial infection of cellulitis by supporting blood circulation both through the arteries and the veins, and by maintaining a healthy, balanced diet. For help with varicose veins and to support venous circulation, please see our answers to previous questions on our website at www.richters.com. Choose "Q&A" from the main menu, then enter "varicose" for the search.
